Teach your employees how to identify phishing emails by looking for some of the following signs:
From: E-Fax098579@*yourdomain*.com <[email protected]>
Sent: Friday, December 24, 2021 10:20 PM
To: ******** Subject: E-fax Received today Saturday, December 25, 2021.
Who is it from? When was it sent? Were you expecting an E-Fax? Were you expecting a letter from an attorney? Were you expecting your boss to request Gift Cards?
If you hover over the link, where would it take you?
This email was a genuine attempt that a trained user identified. It’s essential to understand how the criminals work and make sure that your employees feel comfortable reporting a mistake of clicking a link and providing their password.
I believe that training is necessary to have a baseline of what to look for if an email gets through the other filters you have in place. If you want advice on what to use just give me a call and we can talk about it. We have offices in Summerville, SC just outside of Charleston, SC and Knoxville, TN
